The earthy flavor of the black-eyed peas and sustenance of the cornbread reminds us of prosperity through humility. May 2019 be prosperous for us all. BTW, there’s enough chili powder and red and black pepper in these peas that they’ll keep me humble for at least a few days. Yowza. So proud of my humblepeas.
