Substance The Farm
Sweet fruit, substance of life

There's a story in each thing that happens...

And there's someone to tell the story.
Story writing has been around through the ages, and remains a popular way to preserve history, or make history, or even to take the reader to another place, another time.
Short stories entice us to take a little sojourn into these places and times to look-in and watch like spirits floating wherever the writer wishes to take us. It is in reading that we can simply enjoy being there, or gain new insights, or perhaps find something we agree with.
They transform us.
Story writing is perhaps a different beast than writing poetry, in that the writing of stories deals with the more tangible things, like time, sequence, motive, and situation. Stories deal with relationships. Relations between people, between places, between times. These are its specialties.
And this is definitely a good thing.
We have a collection of stories that have been shared with us. The authors spent some time and patience writing them, and it's safe to say that though these works may not be finished, because no author can be truly satisfied with a work's completeness, they do just what a story is written to do. They tell a story.
So, without much further ado, The Farm presents these stories to you, to read, to get into, to escape to another place. If you should find a work that you like something about, send a compliment to the author; nothing is as beneficial to the creative drive than feedback from a reader.
Enjoy!
