Bachelorette's Flat (November 5, 1997)Rufus 246x300, 51K (780x950, 341K) Pen and Ink on paper This was drawn late at night, under the light of a dim bulb and an empty apartment, in the presence of an empty refrigerator. The feeling of darkness, attraction, hunger, and solitude were in me. I drew what I saw.

Kid on Speed (November 5, 1997)Rufus 340x478 86K (512x720 52K) Photo Manipulation: masked grayscale and blur filter (Paint Shop Pro) When he's on his trike and wears his Cooldude shades, Slugger cap, and Unca'shon's Big Gloves, my nephew Josh is a speedball.

The L-Mart Gets Knocked-Over (November 5, 1997)Rufus 246x500 75K Medium: Legos, colored ink on paper, and post-scan enhancement. Ben wants all your damn money, and he's certain about that. This was a fun project. It took me several hours to build the set and paste on the signage and whatnot. I wish the flatbed scanner would have worked better. Lots of enhancement has been done to get it to this.

Mounting Rue (November 5, 1997)Rufus 232x340 84K (309x452 148K) Photo Manipulaion: cut-and-paste, reconstruction (Paint Shop Pro) In a few hours, your favorite caffeine-fix and mine becomes the icon for increasing scorn and anxiety.

Speckled Egg (November 5, 1997)Rufus 225x218 36K Pointlism: pen on thick, coated paper stock Sometimes, at work, I get to a much-needed pause. One night, I just decided to draw an eight-ball. That's all.
