Submissions and copyright:
All works which are submitted by readers of The Farm are under the umbrella copyright protection of The Farm, but are still subject to the publication rights and copyright retainings of the original authors and/or any subsequent copyright holders.
All works hosted by The Farm are accepted under the assumption that they are the original works of each person who submits them to be posted; The Farm assumes no liability for the posting of non-original works, nor the posting of such works with the knowledge that they are non-original.
The Farm assumes no liability for any work submitted which has been unlawfully taken from copyrighted sources (without expressed permission from their original copyright holders), with or without The Farm's knowledge. All works are submitted voluntarily by each author, and are not taken without said author's consent.
A work is defined as any poetry, short story, commentary, piece of opinion, artwork, or other such creation which is submitted to The Farm and is hosted by The Farm under these agreements. Duh.

Hyperlinks to external sites:
Where possible, The Farm seeks to prevent conflicts in providing active links to sites which may be competitors to other sites which we also have active links to, or may otherwise not appreciate such linkage. (sigh)
It's a good idea to request permission from a site to post an active link to that site on any of our pages, or otherwise send a notice to that site stating that we are providing a link. Where possible, and at our discretion, we provide notification to the sites we link to.
Should any site have a problem with an active link from The Farm to theirs, the sitemaster need only send a formal request to The Farm (thefarm@dead.mailbox) requesting the linkage be removed, and a reason for the removal.
