The shit I could’ve accomplished in life if I had been given the least bit of confidence in what I was doing early on. It’s not the dance, it’s not the singing, it’s not the performance, it’s the proving that you can and will rise above the baseline and move into the spectacle that will get people looking at and loving you. The times I want to dance and act out, and get gun-shy when the attention comes along. The laughs and points and cellphone cameras…wither away from sight, do nothing, get nothing.
Act out. Do it. That’s the gravity engine. That’s the motor drive. That’s the magnetism to move your life along.
